Problems with Game Pack
« on: August 21, 2010, 10:34:09 AM »
I finally finished uploading all 10 parts and the thumbs file and when I ran the mysql queries, I got an error as well as problem with games not showing up.

Unknown column 'active' in 'where clause'

I uploaded the games into separate folders within the Games folder (Games/Part1, Games/Part2, etc). And uploaded the thumb images as downloaded into the Thumbs folder (Thumbs/img). Figured out this was why the games & imgs weren't working. Any way I could leave them as is and still get it to work?

Can you PM me the sql file?
I'm pretty sure all you did was run a old query to create the table dd_games

If you want I can go in phpmyadmin and fix it for you, I'll just need the sql file first for the game pack

EDIT: might be a little while until I get to it though; have a funeral to go to today. Also PM me your login details for cpanel again so I wont need to search for them lol thanks

Well there was only two sql files in there; fas1.2.sql and fas1.3.sql
The text is rather...long, you sure you want it pmed instead of just downloading the FAS file?

And okay, just give me a sec.

Message Sent: 1.3.sql file

If it turns out to be a problem with the sql file, could you send me to revised edition please instead of only editing on my file? I want to be able to mass search&delete certain games.

I will send you the revised file. But you would have to remove all games anyways because of the structure of the table. I'll remove the table and replace with the original.
if you have games previously on the site in which you would like to keep, that would still not be possible when installing the game pack. The game pack overwrites any other games if the new game being added has the same ID.

I'll go ahead and install the game pack for you though (the database information), that ok?

Alright I got them all installed. Where you placed your game and thumb files were incorrect. You placed them in the game folder but you had more than one folder with games in them. I am currently fixing it though right now.

Should be all ready for ya in about 15 mins :)
