once i get round to changing the layout etc, can I and if so how, do i get rid of all the banner/ad stuff so noting on page displays. I will be of course looking at also copyright removal at some point, know how to go about that.
Also in regards to games, How do I implement other games? I dont want the ones full of ads and links. I have some of my own flash games. Or is it only certain games that can be used? if thats the case then I will have to abort the project as not the direction i want to take.

You can remove the code that loads the banners, and the boxes they are in, in the main overall template file, template.php, found in the appropriate templates folder.
Adding games is done through the admin panel under new game.
The only games that the script is set up to load up by default are Flash games(.swf files), or Shockwave(.dcr files) but only if the visitor has the latest version of Adobe Flash. If they don't, they won't be able to play the Shockwave games, only the Flash based.
There is the ability to load a game that is something else though, using the embeded code selection in the add game menu. You would tell the script you wish to install an embeded code game, and then tell it where to find it, and how to load it into the browser. I think this would work for MP3 files, video, or just about anything else. We are attempting to code in separate pages for music, video, funny pics, jokes, etc, but for now the only way available is by adding them as an embeded code.
If all your own games are flash based then there should be no problem adding them to the database at all. The only thing you might have a problem with in that case is if they are too big to upload through the admin panel. If they are too big you can upload them via FTP to the game and thumb folders and choose in the add game menu to add a game that is already uploaded. The normal upload limits for PHP is about 2 mb if I remember right. Some hosts allow you to reset that to a larger size using a php.ini file. An example of one is included in the zip file you downloaded containing the script. If you need help with that, we can try to set it up, but it is up to the hosting company as to whether or not it is allowed to work.
That help?
