Script flow changes now available
« on: August 12, 2009, 01:46:03 PM »
With the next version release there are some changes in the way the script flows, and functions. The script is no where near ready for release as of yet, but for those who are wanting to develop add ons etc, we now have available the basic files which will show you what things are working towards now.

You will need to start from a v1.3 install and upgrade using phpMyAdmin and copying files over the old ones.

Anybody interested get ahold of me.

I can give you some insight as to what is changing so far. The basic script now has a default set of meta keywords and description listed in the database, controled in the admin panel, but individual pages can be changed now.

Game entries for instance can have their own keywords edited in the gameadmin section, or use the game title if none are entered.

The admin controls for games(adding, editing, etc) are now a separate section from the admin panel so you can make a member a game adder without giving admin privileges.

Most of the "pages" are now loaded from the template folder so you can make them different for each template. Control panels are still same place because you want them all to work the same way regardless of the template used.

This also will allow us to set it up so that more than one template can be offered  to members. This has not been set up yet, but is being worked on.

At least 3 of the SQL queries now gets cached, cache life is controled through admin panel. We are working on more caching.
